Nokia Lumia 920 announced with Windows Phone 8

I’ve always been a Nokia fan, I chose Nokia for the combination of features (back then they were the smartphones) and design. My first device was the Nokia 7250i then Nokia 6600, Nokia 3230, Nokia E50, Nokia E71 before jumping ship to Android with the Google Nexus One. Each of those phones was chosen after many weeks of research to find the right combination of features and design.

The stagnated for a while with their boring touch screen devices but now the Lumia series are bringing back Nokia into the spotlight. A combination of beautiful hardware engineering and MS Windows Phone 8 software. It’s a killer combination. You can bet that the adoption of Windows Phone 8 will accellerate once Windows 8 itself is out in masses.

The Lumia 920, a 4.5″ glass HD display with 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 dual core processor, 8.7 megapixel PureView sensor, Wireless charging (this alone makes me want to buy it!) and it comes in 5 different colours. This makes the choice between Android, iOS and WP8 very hard!

  1. The only thing holding me back from WP is lack of customisation. Otherwise they would have me. BTW wireless charging is in no way new and quite a few phones can do it with accessories. The Galaxy S3 can do it, they just haven’t released the charging pad yet.
