Looking at the pictures from Android Central you get a sense of the Google consumer push in full swing, just seeing these in the supermarket hanging next to iTunes and other gift cards gives them a real consumer presence and mind share. I for one have always wanted to buy these for my friends and family and now I finally can! They make quick and easy gifts.

I must say, being someone without a credit card and no intention of getting one, these are good. However I would’ve liked a more purely electronic way, I can’t fault them for bringing these out first.
If it was purely electronic you’d still need a credit card to purchase assume.
Internet Banking via PayPal or some similar service.
