The iPad mini is a me too tablet at this stage as there’s nothing new or exciting about it. To me it’s not worth buying since it’s not that much smaller than an iPad and the Google Nexus 7 has it beat in price by $100. I also personally think the industrial design is not appealing, the Nexus 7 is a much better looking tablet.
Spec wise the Google Nexus 7 has it beat in all aspects apart from the camera. The only advantage is that iPad mini runs all iPad tablet apps which means you have access to 100,000s of apps. This will be interesting because the iPad apps are built for a big screen and just shrinking the apps might not go well when the size of the controls shrink too.
